During the last twenty years, Ken Hughes has successfully represented clients in a wide variety of litigation. Mr. Hughes has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts representing a variety of clients including terminated executives and small businesses. He has also successfully represented plaintiffs in a variety of types of litigation including antitrust, contract disputes, defamation, fraud, intellectual property, securities fraud, and wrongful termination. He has also defended clients in numerous matters including contract disputes, fraud claims, non-competition and trade secrets and a wide variety of other types of litigation.

Background

After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in 1987, Mr. Hughes joined Vinson & Elkins. He primarily represented defendants in various types of business litigation. In 1993, he began practicing law with Julius Glickman. Mr. Hughes' practice expanded to areas including employment litigation, defamation, securities fraud, non-compete and trade secrets and a variety of other types of litigation.

Awards and Professional Activities

In 2005 and 2006, Mr. Hughes was recognized by Best Lawyers In America and Texas Superlawyers. In 2000, Mr. Hughes was elected President of the Houston Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section. He is frequently asked to speak at Continuing Legal Education Seminars for the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, The University of Texas School of Law, The University of Houston School of Law, and South Texas College of Law. Mr. Hughes speaks on a number of topics including legal ethics, business litigation, employment litigation, intellectual property, international litigation, and others.
